The Ghana Tourism Authority under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture will be celebrating this year’s World Tourism Day at the Odweanoma Mountains at Kwahu Atibie in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Member countries on the United Nations’ front celebrate World Tourism Day every year on September 27. It’s main aim is to promote the importance of Tourism in the World.
Tourism happens to be an important source of revenue for every country; it has been a means to educate people especially when it comes to cultures one is not exposed to and if you have ever been to Kwahu during Easter, you know that it goes without saying that tourism provides entertainment.
The theme for this year’s celebration is Tourism and the Digital Transformation which is a great idea because new media and technology is changing the dynamics and presents limitless opportunities for nations to sell their best places of attraction to almost anyone anywhere in the world.
As part of the celebrations, a series of activities have been put in place to crown the event.
Fun and Fly
Among the events planned this year is what the tourism authority is calling the ‘Fun and Fly Paragliding’ themed ‘you2canfly’. The event will take place from the 28th to the 30th September, 2018 at the Odweanoma Mountains in Kwahu Atibie.
Several Pilots have been selected to fly thousands of participants as they have fun flying.
It is obvious that this year’s celebration is going to make chronic memories participants will never want to forget. If you are going to be home, this is an opportunity to escape the usual and join the fun at Kwahu Atibie.
