“I have total confidence in my team” – Coach Kwasi Appiah on tomorrow’s encounter with Tunisia

Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah has stated that even though he’s not underrating any team, he has full confidence in his players and is assuring a win in tomorrow’s game against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.

Kwasi Appiah gave the assurance at a press conference on Sunday at Ismailia in Egypt.

He has acknowledged the apparent surprises in the round-of-16 encounter matches played so far especially the losses of Morocco and the host nation Egypt to the Bafana Bafana of South Africa. Coach Appiah said he has known right from the start of the competition that no team can be taken for granted and so his players have been psyched to not underrate any of the opponents they will be facing.

“Right from day one I said you can never underrate any team but I have total confidence in my players, they are good and we are motivated going into the game tomorrow”

By motivation, Coach Kwasi Appiah is probably talking about the $30,000 winning bonus that has been paid to the players for their victory in the last group game against Guinea Bissau which shot them to the top of Group F.

He further revealed that Jonathan Mensah is fit to play. Jonathan was not able to play in the game against Guinea Bissau due to an injury but according to the Black Stars coach, he’s well and ready to play against the Tunisian side.
