Update: Yvonne Nelson has over 14,000 respondents and 55% voted Nana Addo

Now, that’s huge!

The drumbeat about corruption, challenges with free SHS and the general economic situation is not as bad as people think. Further proof has come from a quarter you will least expect it to come from — voting on Yvonne Nelson’s timeline.

As at the time we reported on results of the polling on her timeline, it had gathered some 1,400 votes with 54% saying they were going to vote for Nana Akufo-Addo in 2020. This morning, that number is now 14,000.

Yes, a poll on Yvonne Nelson’s Twitter timeline has garnered more votes than an actual election in some instances. This time, 55% are voting for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP.

There have been inroads by the NDC and John Mahama in some of the votings but everything stays largely the same.

For example, the question about who cares more about the average Ghanaian has seen an addition of 4 points to John Mahama’s tally bringing him 4 points closer to Nana Akufo-Addo. But it has only a little over 2,000 votes so far.

The poll on the actress’ timeline confirms an EIU pre-election research report that projected Nana Akufo-Addo as the man to beat in 2020. This means Nana Addo and his team may be doing something right with Free SHS, NaBCO, PFJ, 1D1F and the host of social interventions and industrialization programs he is pursuing.
