Aggrieved sympathizers of Dr. George Sipa Yankey, the former chief executive of Ghana Gas has descended heavily on the NDC member of Parliament of the Ellembele constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, calling him ungrateful.
According to a statement released by the group, the member of parliament was picked from nowhere by Dr. Yankey and made an MP so he ought to show respect to the erstwhile CEO of Ghana Gas instead of making fun of him.
“Buah has so soon forgotten that it was Dr. Sipa Yankey who picked him from nowhere and planted him in Ellembele. The same Sipa Yankey convinced others like Colonel (rtd) Kaku Korsah of the blessed memory and J. R. D. Cobbinah to drop their ambitions to allow Buah to go unopposed and contest the 2008 Parliamentary election in the Ellembele Constituency.”
The rebuttal that occasioned the release of the statement was instigated by a Modern Ghana article titled “NDC Primaries: Ellembelle NDC Delegates Humiliate Sipa Yankey”.
The group issued a warning to the MP and his team that if they continue attacking Dr. Yankey in the media, they will implement Mahama’s call for “boot for boot” in Ellembele NDC.
“If Buah and his cohorts would continue with what they are doing on both the print media and radio, then His Excellency John Mahama’s call for “Boot for Boot’’ would be launched and implemented in Ellembele NDC.”
