Sex for Grades: Foursquare pastor, University of Ghana lecturer exposed in new trailer

The issue of sexual harassment of unsuspecting female students is endangering education in West Africa

A new trailer for the much anticipated BBC Africa Eye investigative piece into alleged sexual harassment and in some instances abuse exposes two university professors in West Africa’s most prestigious universities—University of Ghana and the University of Lagos in Nigeria.

The 13-minute video shows two professors who sexually harass students who go to them for help either with admission or their grades.

In Ghana, Dr. Paul Kwame Butakor is the only lecturer confirmed in the BBC expose so far even though the actual premiering promises to expose more of the rogue lecturers in Ghana’s premier university. Dr. Butakor is seen begging to be a side guy.

The Nigerian professor fingered in the expose, Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu is a senior lecturer, a former sub-dean, of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). He claims to be a pastor of the Foursquare church. In the video, he’s seen coercing the lady sent to record his illicit behavior and even bragging that at his age, he can still get a 17-year old girl with sweet talk and little money.
