The Ghana Football Association Executive Committee elections has been held today October 24 at the GFA Secretariat.
The executive committee comprises of representatives from Women’s Football, Regional Football Associations, Division One League Clubs and the Premier League. These elected executives would form part of the embodiment of the GFA to properly and effectively run Ghana football.
The elections went on smoothly with no hullabaloos.
Ghana Women’s football Elected 1 representative in the person of Habiba Atta.
Division One League elected Ransford Abbey, Annim Addo and Mark Addo to be their representatives.
Premier League Club elected five personalities which includes the CEO of Ashanti Gold Football Club Mr. Frederick Acheampong(Achee), Nana Oduro Sarfo, George Amoako, Tony Aubynn and Kingsley Osei Bonsu.
The Regional Football would have to elect two representatives, but so far there’s only one elected in the person of Leeford with 4 votes. Robert Duncan and Salifu Ziga were tied with 3 votes each which has caused that particular election to be postponed for tomorrow.
One of the responsibilities of the Executive Council will be to elect the Vice President Of the Football Association.
