The CEO of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mr. George Amaoko has declared his interest in contesting to become the vice president of the new Ghana Football Association.
Having been already voted for to be a member of the new Executive Committee of the GFA, Mr. George Amaoko seem to have already set his sights on the GFA ‘second hot seat’.
“I am highly interested and I have made it known to the executive committee members but I am not in a haste”.
As a member of the newly elected football executive committee, Mr. George Amoako is eligible to contest and if voted for, can become the vice president of the GFA, deputising Mr. Kurt Okraku, the president elect.
However, with his knowledge and experiences about how voting within the football fraternity works, he added that he is not highly optimistic about attaining the position as he ‘fears’ delegates.
“Football votes is about fear delegates; it is always dangerous when you talk too much before elections. We talk after elections and not before elections but as I said, I am highly interested.”
Mr. Amoako was speaking in an exclusive interview with Mr. Kwabena Gyamfi (Sir. Joe); Tuesday morning on Kessben Television.
