Revival the Christian Reggae Dancehall artiste, who holds the CGMA Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year award for 2019, has again been nominated for this year’s AfriMusic. His unreleased song “Lite Up” made it together with 113 other songs in Africa and so he needs Ghana’s votes to make it through the Regionals (West Africa) to the finals. With just two weeks left to go Revival needs your votes to qualify as one the top 24 Artists in the 2020 AfriMusic Song Contest.
The AfriMusic Song Contest is a pan-African song contest inspired by the Eurovision Song Contest. It was first held in 2018 when Eswatini won with Symphony performing the song “Sengikhona”. The second edition of the event in 2019 was won by Nonzwakazi from South Africa with “Phakama Mbokodo”.
Revival who has released two new singles already this year is also said to release a video for one of them soon. But very hopeful in being the first Ghanaian to win Afrimusic Contest as well as the First West African to make it to the finals. He, however, encouraged Ghanaians to help in voting as this time it doesn’t take money but just an email verification for one to cast his or her vote. The good news here is that one can vote 24 times with one device with 24 hours. Check the voting process below
