President ⁦Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has met with captains of industry to work on how to locally produce materials including sanitizers and medicines as part of the Covid-19 response. These materials are said to be a part of the various measures initiated by the government of Ghana to eradicate this virus that has assumed rearing its ugly head into the system. Individual citizens are therefore encouraged to stay healthy and also embrace the necessary precautions put in place for Covid-19 to become a thing of the past.

Early this month, the outbreak of COVID-19 which originated from Wuhan, China was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) due to the higher risk of transmitting the virus around the Globe. All the various groups of people occupying different geographical areas across the globe are entreated by the WHO to play a collective role to stop the spread of this deadly disease and Ghana is taking the fight very seriously.

President Akufo-Addo instituted stringent measures including banning all public gatherings of people more than twenty-five (25) and closing all schools in the country.
