The Church of Pentecost has released 10 cinema vans fitted with public address systems to the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) to be used for nationwide public education on coronavirus in Ghana.

The vans were officially handed over to the Deputy Minister of Health, Hon. Alexander Kodwo Kom Abban following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the church and the NCCE.

The church has also offered to fuel and maintain the vehicles as well as pay the drivers’ allowances during the entire period of the exercise, which is estimated to cost about GHS 50,000.00.

In a related development, the church has also donated personal protective items to the tune of GHS 45,000.00 to the Ministry of Health (MoH) for onward distribution to health personnel across the country, who are the frontliners in the fight against the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hon. Alexander Abban, in response, thanked the Church of Pentecost for the support and said that the gesture would go a long way to help the country contain the spread of the virus.
