The Internship Recruitment Forum, an annual internship program designed to provide first-hand industry experience for students has partnered with Golden Exotics Limited this year and is scheduled to take place from April 7th – 8th, 2021.
Happening from 10 am to 3 pm, the program, under the theme ‘Providing first-hand industry experience for students’, recognizes the unusual times the country and world at large are in and the need for virtual activities. The 2-day forum, which has sessions running at 10 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm, will therefore take place virtually on Zoom to provide student participants varied options for their participation and learning.

This platform brings together some of Ghana’s finest minds from across various professions and platforms to facilitate various sessions to prepare a tertiary audience for the world of work. Participating students do not only glean valuable insights from this faculty but in addition, get the opportunity to intern in various organizations.
Through this programme, tertiary students in Ghana have the opportunity to receive structured training to prepare their minds and guide their attitudes to trigger the best of performance before they start their internships.
Co-founder of Everyday Intern, (EDI), the organizers of the forum, Portia Amegayibor, shares that “students can visit the website (www.everydayintern.com) to upload their CVs onto the site and to also apply to the many vacancies posted there.”
Mr. George Kporye, Public Affairs Manager of Golden Exotics Limited, partners of IRF, on his part, bemoaned the fact that not many students admire agriculture and agribusiness. He however believes that it is now a growing industry and has a very promising future for students who venture into it. He, therefore, pledged his outfit’s readiness to give internship placements to as many interns as possible who are interested in the sector and therefore commends the IRF as a great initiative and platform for interns to make wise career decisions.
