Some famous people view tattoos as works of art. They get to choose the design, saying, or symbol that will last the rest of their lives on their skin. Celebrities that have tattoos proudly display their body art! There are a few other famous people that don’t think tattoos are at all acceptable.
Even some people who have previously received tattoos have decided to have them entirely erased! Although tattoos are frequently seen as artistic and attractive, not everyone finds them appealing. The following fifteen celebrities, including our very own Sarkodie, most certainly think tattoos aren’t for them.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo is well known for his incredible soccer talents and is one of, if not the most, followed people on social media. What is his justification for refusing to get a tattoo? He frequently donates blood, and if he got tattoos, that would make it harder for him to continue doing so. After getting a tattoo, you must wait four months before you may give blood again.
2. Kim Kardashian
Not only does American reality TV star and socialite Kimberly Kardashian not sport any ink, but she also has a famous quote under her belt for anyone like her who refuses to get tattooed.
When asked by TV host Wendy Williams about her reluctance to ink in 2009, she replied: “Honey, would you put a bumper sticker on a Bentley?”
3. T.I.
Despite living a “gangsta” lifestyle and projecting a “gangsta” image, American rapper T.I. has no tattoos.
The 41-year-old rapper has previously expressed his reluctance to acquire tattoos due to their high level of commitment.
In an interview with iHeartRadio, T.I. stated, “I haven’t found something that I was willing to commit to for life on my body and secondly I am painfully frightened of needles.
4. Zendaya
Zendaya so far does not have any tattoos. In an interview in 2019, she spoke about tattoos and her opinion on them. She said, “I love tattoos. But I don’t want any.” She said that she was not interested in getting permanently marked up and thought that getting one was a serious decision to make. She said that her only exception was to get a matching tattoo with her Euphoria Co Star Hunter Schafer. She said, “Hunter and I want to get ‘rules’ tattooed on our [inner] lip. So we might do that.”
5. Sarkodie
Sarkodie is a father of two and one of the few male artists in Ghana without tattoos– the catch is that he rarely exposes his body to the public.
6. Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift, a former country singer who is now a pop icon, seems to have known exactly what she wanted her first tattoo to be.
Swift said in a 2012 interview that she was unable to commit to anything and hence couldn’t get a tattoo.
7. Mark Wahlberg
The Lone Survivor star revealed to Corden and his viewers that he used to have several tattoos covering his entire body. “I had, like, eight or nine,” Wahlberg said. “They went all the way around my neck, my stomach, my arms, my back, my leg.”
When the Late Late Show host asked why he had the tattoos removed, Wahlberg credited the act as a sign of growth. “Maturity. Sensibility,” the actor said.
Wahlberg shared that he wanted to get his tattoos removed before his 2010 film The Fighter and was told by his dermatologist that the process of removing them should be completed over five to seven visits within a five to seven year span, meaning a treatment of just once a year. But Wahlberg chose to accelerate the plan and had several tattoos removed in less than seven months, according to Insider.
8. Mohammed Salah
Mo Salah does not have any tattoos on his body probably because of his religion and tries to focus more on his performance. When asked about the reason for no tattoos he said, “I don’t have tattoos, I don’t change hairstyles, I don’t know how to dance. I just want to play football.”
9. Megan Thee Stallion
Meg Thee Stallion attributes her lack of tattoos to her late mother, Holly Thomas, who was a rapper too.
According to the 27-year-old, her momma was against it and she has since decided not to get any.
“I’ve always been scared to get a tattoo because my mom was always like, ‘Don’t you get a f*cking tattoo. I’ma whoop your a*s.’ So it’s always been in the back of my head tattoos equal whooping,” Thee Stallion told GQ in 2021.
10. Kylian Mbappe
Mbappe refuses to wear any tattoos on his body, probably because he is too young to have tattoos, but he has not officially given a reason for not having a tattoo. We do know that Mbappe looks up to Cristiano Ronaldo and that may explain the young star not getting tattoos.
