Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Ebenezer Kojo Kum steps down

President Akufo-Addo has accepted the resignation

The Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Minister, Hon. Ebenezer Kojo Kum submitted his resignation to the President in a statement that Jubilee House Communications Director Eugene Arhin published on social media.

The statement also indicated that Dan Botwe, the Minister for Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development, has been asked by the President to serve in that capacity until a permanent replacement is named.

According to a report by MyNewsGH, the Chieftaincy Minister has been ill for a while. Despite his best efforts to get better in time to resume his duties, reports indicate that his health has been failing him.
