Dr. Ato Panford, a former Member of Parliament (MP) for the Shama Constituency, has passed away.
The cause of death is currently unknown, but MyJoyOnline.com sources claim he passed away this morning.
According to the source, “Uncle Ato,” as he is also known, passed away in the Takoradi GPHA Hospital.
Dr. Panford served as Shama’s MP during the Fourth Republic’s seventh parliament.
He was the immediate past Board Chairman of the Ghana Enterprises Agency before Hon. Sylvester Tetteh took over from him.
He served as the senior advisor for enterprise audit at the AfCFTA National Coordinating Office until his death this morning.
