Authorities have found Christian Atsu’s apartment following the deadly earthquake that struck 10 Turkish districts, including Hatay. Atsu plays football for Hatayspor.
One of the structures devastated by the earthquake was the Renaissance Residence, where Christian and the team’s sporting director Taner Savut resided.
Christian’s brother Isaac Twasam, their manager Murat Uzunmehmet, and Nana Sechre are waiting for updates at the scene of the fallen building while the search and rescue operations go on.
Rescuers are frantically searching for Atsu after he was injured in the first strong 7.8 magnitude earthquake.
After the earthquake struck at 4 am local time, some members of his new team needed to be rescued from their homes.
Taner Savut, the sporting director for Hatayspor, and Atsu, 31, were reported missing after being buried under debris.
Atsu’s location was reportedly discovered on Tuesday, although Hatayspor manager Mustafa Ozat denied this.
