Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed his gratitude to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates for their resounding endorsement at the Super Delegates Conference held on Saturday, August 26. Having secured 629 votes, the Vice President clinched the top spot, a testament to the faith the party members have in his leadership and vision. Following closely, Kennedy Agyapong emerged as the second-highest vote-getter with 132 votes, while Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen secured the third position with 95 votes. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto garnered 36 votes, positioning himself in fourth place.
The contest was also marked by the tied fifth position, which saw Mr. Boakye Agyarko and Francis Addai Nimoh each amass nine votes. The results illustrated the depth of choices and preferences within the party’s ranks.
