Parliamentary Primaries in Mampong Constituency Suspended Amid Legal Disputes
Parliamentary Primaries Election in the Mampong Constituency has been halted following an election injunction obtained from the Kumasi Appeals Court. The injunction was secured by 35 dissatisfied members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who assert that the polling station election held last year in the constituency was invalid.
The aggrieved individuals filed a case against the party, challenging the legitimacy of the polling station elections that took place in Mampong Constituency. Dissatisfied with the decision of the Mampong High Court, they escalated the matter to the Court of Appeals in Kumasi, where the case is currently under consideration.
The injunction obtained at the Kumasi Appeals Court has forced the suspension of the Parliamentary Primaries in Mampong Constituency.
