The preliminary draw for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, in Cairo, Egypt.
The draw ceremony is set to commence at 14:00 local time (12:00 GMT) and will determine the matchups for the preliminary round of the tournament.
The preliminary round of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 will feature the eight lowest-ranked teams according to the FIFA ranking. These teams include Somalia, Djibouti, Sao Tome, Chad, Mauritius, South Sudan, Liberia, and Eswatini. The matches will be played on a home and away basis during the FIFA window of March 18–26, 2024.
The four winners from the preliminary round will advance to join the 44 exempted teams for the group stage of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.
