The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the formation of its 2024 Sub Committee for Arts, Tourism, and Culture, with renowned Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame among its members. The full list, released on Friday, February 23, 2024, features other notable figures from the entertainment industry, including actors Prince David Osei and Ms. Juliet Asante, who will serve as the chairperson.
Mr Akwasi Agyeman has been appointed as the co-chair of the committee, which also includes Hon Catherine Afeku, Dr Ama Boafo-Arthur, Prof Issahaku Adam, Ms Claudia Lumor, Nana Yaw Manteaw, Ms Yaa Pokua Baiden, Mr Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, Mr Festus Frimpong Gyebi, Mr Eric Owusu Akreso, Dr Ackah Kwame Nyamekye, and Radia Adama Saani.
Hon. Andrew Agyapa Mercer will serve as the committee’s advisor. The committee is tasked with formulating the NPP’s manifesto on tourism and culture, highlighting the party’s vision and plans for the development of the arts and culture sector in Ghana.
