Four Suspects Arrested in Awutu Senya East Shooting Incident

The Ghana Police Service has arrested four individuals in connection with a fatal shooting incident that occurred at the Iron City office in the Awutu Senya East Constituency, Kasoa, in the Central Region. The shooting led to the death of one person and left another injured.

The suspects, identified as Awudu Yakubum, Kwabena Essah, Hakeem Bawa, and Issaka Mashual, are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations. Authorities retrieved an AK47 rifle along with 69 rounds of ammunition from the suspects.

The injured victim is receiving medical treatment, while the deceased’s body has been sent to the morgue for preservation and autopsy. Police have assured the public of a thorough investigation into the matter.

This incident has heightened concerns over security in the area, prompting calls for increased vigilance.
