Hon. John Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament for Assin South and Ranking Member on the Defence and Interior Committee, has confirmed claims made by journalist Paul Adom Otchere regarding the covert entry of US-based Ghanaian journalist Kevin Taylor into the country.
Speaking on Adom TV, Ntim-Fordjour said he has intel that Kevin Taylor was flown into Ghana aboard United Airlines flight UA996 from Washington D.C. Despite an active bench warrant for his arrest, Taylor reportedly entered through Gate 19 of Kotoka International Airport, a restricted passage typically reserved for senior government officials and diplomats.
According to the Metro TV report, Taylor’s entry was allegedly facilitated by national security operatives, despite the court’s ruling which found his statements from abroad to be in contempt and injurious to judicial integrity.
Ntim-Fordjour further corroborated Adom Otchere’s claim that Taylor is being housed at Prestige Lake, the official vice presidential residence. The residence is currently unoccupied, as Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang reportedly resides elsewhere.
