Three senior officials of the McDan Group have reportedly been detained by National Security operatives in connection with the demolition of a partially completed warehouse situated along the Spintex Road in Accra.

Citi News sources confirm that the arrests occurred shortly after the demolition incident, which has since attracted widespread attention and public concern. The affected area has now been cordoned off and designated a “National Security Zone” by personnel on the ground.

The demolished structure is said to be linked to prominent businessman and McDan Group CEO, Daniel McKorley, popularly known as McDan. While official reasons behind the demolition remain unclear, the swift involvement of security agencies has raised questions about the ownership and legality of activities on the site.

The situation grew tense earlier on Wednesday when military personnel were filmed assaulting a civilian who was reportedly giving an interview to a JoyNews reporter at the scene. In a related development, JoyNews journalist Carlos Calony was allegedly picked up by National Security operatives while covering the aftermath. His whereabouts and the grounds for his detention remain unknown.
