Founder and General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Dr. Mensa Otabil, has announced the release of his new book titled Prophets, Prophecy and the Prophetic Gift.
The book, which will be launched at the Greater Works Summit, comes at a time when the prophetic ministry has faced growing public scrutiny and debate, particularly within Pentecostal and Charismatic circles in Ghana.
Dr. Otabil, who has in recent times voiced concerns about the abuse and commercialization of prophetic ministry, said the book aims to provide biblical clarity on the true role of prophecy in the church.
“In this book, we explore the work of the Holy Spirit within the church, with particular emphasis on the prophetic phenomenon among Pentecostal and Charismatic Christians,” he said in his announcement.
According to him, the book will serve as a guide for believers, helping them align prophetic practice with scriptural principles rather than sensationalism or personal gain.
The release is expected to spark renewed dialogue on the place of prophecy in modern Christianity, especially as Otabil’s voice carries significant weight in theological discourse within Ghana’s charismatic movement.
Prophets, Prophecy and the Prophetic Gift will be available for the first time to participants of the Greater Works Summit, after which it is expected to be released to the wider public.
