Paul Adom-Otchere, former Board Chair of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), has publicly addressed his invitation by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) over an ongoing investigation into a revenue assurance audit contract with Evertex Logistics Limited.

Speaking in a live broadcast on Facebook, Adom-Otchere expressed surprise at the number of calls he received after the OSP’s letter went viral, accusing the Special Prosecutor of “showboating” and deliberately leaking the invitation to the media.

According to him, the OSP directed him to appear on July 31, 2025, over suspected corruption and corruption-related offenses involving the audit contract. He explained that the board had only initiated policy-level discussions on non-aeronautical revenue generation, while all procurement decisions and the eventual contract signing were handled by GACL management.

“I have no financial interest in any of the companies involved, and the Ghana Airports Company has not paid a single cedi to anyone under this contract,” he said.

Adom-Otchere alleged that the OSP was attempting to intimidate him due to his public commentary. “This is a pure witch hunt. If the Special Prosecutor wants to use state authority to harass people for speaking out, that’s entirely his decision,” he stated.

He confirmed he would honor the OSP’s directive with legal representation, adding that he would continue to speak openly on matters of public interest.

The OSP has not yet issued an official response to his allegations.
