In a heartbreaking twist of fate, Collins Boateng Osei, a Ghanaian man known online as “Micronet,” has died in a tragic road accident barely a day after posting a passionate appeal on Facebook about the country’s growing road safety crisis.

In the now-viral post, Collins lamented the government’s seeming inaction over the alarming number of road accidents and called for intensified efforts to curb the menace. “We can’t continue losing precious human life in the manner that is happening,” he wrote, urging for a more serious campaign against road crashes.

The post by Collins yesterday at 7:25 AM

The post, tagged with #MusingsofaConcernedGhanaian, has since become a chilling final message, as comments beneath it confirm his untimely death in a crash the very next day.

“How can you die through the same problem you talk about??” one user, Harriet Awuni, mourned in disbelief. Another, Nana Tuffour, commented: “You posted this just yesterday and died through accident today! This world is so unfair.”

Collins’ death has sparked a renewed wave of calls on social media for government accountability and improved road safety enforcement. Many are describing his final post as prophetic, while others are calling for his message to be honored through concrete action.

As tributes continue to pour in, the tragedy of Collins Boateng Osei is serving as a stark reminder of the urgent need for comprehensive road safety reforms in Ghana.

May he rest in peace.
