The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has announced the launch of SheRhythms Ghana, the nation’s first all-female music festival, dedicated to celebrating the talent, creativity, and resilience of women in the music industry.

The launch event will take place on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Alliance Française, Accra, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The festival promises an exciting lineup of performances, blending contemporary music with traditional rhythms, and spotlighting some of Ghana’s most influential female voices.

SheRhythms Ghana seeks to create a platform that amplifies female artistry while fostering unity and cultural pride. With support from partners including the Ghana Culture Forum, National Folklore Board, Black Star Experience, and EIB Network, the initiative marks a bold step towards inclusivity and recognition of women in the arts.

MUSIGA has emphasized that the festival will not only celebrate established female musicians but also provide opportunities for emerging talents to shine.
