Ghana will from September 2025 witness the launch of the Blackstar Forum, a new monthly dialogue series designed to shape national development through technology, policy, and innovation. The Forum seeks to provide a platform where critical issues are discussed, actionable strategies are crafted, and partnerships are built for Ghana’s transformation.
The inaugural edition in September will focus on the theme “Shaping Ghana’s AI Future: Building an Enhanced Roadmap for Ghana’s Strategic Participation in Global AI Development.” It will examine how Ghana can position itself not only as a consumer but also as a strategic contributor to global artificial intelligence development, innovation, and governance.
Beyond AI, the Forum will cover a diverse range of themes throughout the year, reflecting the multidimensional challenges and opportunities facing Ghana. In October, attention will shift to agribusiness in the era of AI and climate change, while November will explore technology’s role in the future of healthcare. December will highlight technology as the engine of national transformation, and January 2026 will revisit agriculture as a pillar of national prosperity.
Other monthly themes include public policy in the digital age (February), health equity and innovation (March), AI and the Ghanaian economy (April), education without borders (May), and politics and the next generation (June).
By creating a consistent and inclusive platform, the Blackstar Forum aims to connect government, academia, industry, and civil society, ensuring Ghana is not left behind in global transformations. Its ultimate goal is to foster homegrown innovation, ethical governance, and forward-looking strategies that secure Ghana’s place in the future.
