Kenya’s Immigration Department has deported the Chinese national who went on a racist rant, calling Kenyans including president Uhuru Kenyatta monkeys.
The Chinese national, identified as Liu Jiaqi, was arrested after a two and a half minute video shared on Twitter and elsewhere went viral in which he was heard using racially insensitive slurs against the people of the East African country.
Since the Immigration Department announced his deportation, many Kenyans on Twitter have called for prosecution in Kenya instead with some saying “he needs to be charged in a competent court of law”.
He needs to be charged in a competent court of law first and get the taste of monkey cells with monkey prisoners. Deportation enough does not heal the wound!!!

The arrest comes a day after Kenyan police raided the African headquarters of the China Global Television Network in Nairobi, briefly detaining several journalists as part of an ongoing crackdown against illegal immigrants.
Since then the Chinese embassy in Kenya have since dissociated itself from the comments and urged Chinese nationals to respect the laws of countries they operate in.
“The Chinese Embassy always requires the Chinese companies and individuals to abide by the local law, stay and work legally in Kenya, making positive contribution to the friendship and cooperation between China and Kenya,” stated the embassy spokesperson.
