Telecommunications company MTN Ghana has apologized to subscribers for fluctuations in data services and international outbound calls experienced on Thursday and Friday.

This follows numerous complaints by subscribers about their inability to use the company’s internet services and while MTN tries to stem the tide of customer dissatisfaction, social media sensation, Shatta Bandle, is reeling with anger over the poor data service from Ghana’s number one telecommunications company.

Shatta Bandle may be the only one cursing MTN right now but he certainly is not the only one unhappy with MTN right now. So many social media users have expressed their disdain for the bad state of affairs with MTN especially because data charges have gone up and people feel they are not getting value for their money if one fiber cut can cost them their data due to poor internet.

In all of this, Vodafone is the undisputed winner.

Vodafone is winning because they are the only other 4G network that provides voice call services. Glo and AirtelTigo are still stuck at 3.5G in the data speed wars and maybe it’s about time NCA gives out some more 4G licenses.
