The Suame, NDC, Youth Organiser has been detained by the Suntreso police for allegedly making inciting remarks.

In a viral video, Razak Avoliya can be heard urging members and supporters of the major opposition party to take up arms against their rival.

In the company of his attorney, a few regional party executives, and supporters, the “wanted” youth organizer reported himself to the Central Police command.

Later, Razak’s caution and charge statements were obtained after the command forwarded the matter to the Suntreso police station.

He was detained after being accused of offensive behavior.

“They charged him with offensive conduct and we were to go to court.

“But unfortunately, after the statements we realized that time has far been spent so we agreed to go to court tomorrow”, Counsel for Razak, Evans Amankwa said.

The lawyer expressed readiness to cooperate with the investigation.

“We will cooperate with the law.

“The youth organizer is in high spirits.

“He meant what he said but has no intention of destabilizing the peace of this nation. He was only encouraging the people of Suame constituency to fortify themselves in the 2024 elections and be prepared to defend themselves if attacked by members of the NPP”.
