On December 14, 2023, Mustapha Ussif, the Member of Parliament for the people of Yagaba Kubori and the Minister for Youth and Sports, took the stage on behalf of the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo. This special occasion followed a previous presentation to the Medeama Soccer Club, during which Ussif had the honor of presenting a generous GH¢1 million check to the Member of Parliament for Takwa Nsuem, Hon. George Mireku Duker.
The money was handed over in fulfillment of President Nana Akufo-Addo’s pledge to Medeama SC for their outstanding achievements during the 2022/23 league season. The club not only clinched the league title but also secured a coveted spot in the prestigious CAF Champions League, showcasing the best of Ghanaian football on the field.
