Churches and church leaders, the truth is that Facebook LIVE is not the only means to fellowship with your members in times like this.

How about incorporating other strategies that would offer better results? Yes, you can integrate other very cost-effective tools and means. Let’s look at basic tools a pastor can use; Your phone, yes! even if it is not a smartphone. All that is required is the SMS feature and the ability to make calls, that’s it!

The average ministry has about 100 to 300 members. A pastor can call all of them within a week. He can even try smaller group interaction via conference calls. Assign other leaders to do the same. (Leader calls a set of 10 daily, pray with them, have a brief study, etc.). That’s the power of smaller group fellowship via phone calls.

Don’t forget to send SMS to your members to encourage them.

Pastors and church leaders can call their members to pray with them, encourage them, etc. I believe it’s a good time to get to know your members well. Show more care and support. Try not to ask for offerings via MoMo (Mobile Money). It’s just for a month.

If you reach out to them, pray with them, encourage them to take precautions, assure them, show concern, by doing these things you would be blessing your members more and bonding better than just going live on social media.

Let’s act with care! God bless you
