In the beginning, God created only one man and one woman, Adam and Eve. Americans, Europeans, Africans, Asians, white, red, black or green, irrespective of complexion and race, all of us are children of Adam and Eve. This is assuming we all believe a new study that revealed in 2014 that all humans are descendants of the same man and woman who lived 100,000 to 200,000 years ago.
This study aside, the Bible authoritatively states that God created us from a single couple but we have forgotten all that and have refused to love one another.
Instead of living together in peace as brothers and sisters, we have divided ourselves into skin colors and cultures. Americans and Europeans claim superiority over Africans and Asians forgetting that as long as evil reigns, no group of people can claim superiority.
The quest of the one percent few to rule the world has led to an avalanche of evil since the beginning of time. But all of this is because we have rejected the counsel of God to love ourselves.
People manufacture weapons of destruction and cause wars in many nations so they can sell their weapons and make money. Greenpeace reports that the world spends an estimated $1.7 trillion a year on war. Just to compare: global humanitarian funding is 1.3% of that.
According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), international weapon sales around the world jumped up by 10% from 2014-2018 compared to 2008-12.
Everywhere on our precious planet, easy access to weapons and ammunition has led to human suffering, political repression, crime and terror among civilians.
The makers of these weapons forget that the pain of one human affects all.
Nobody has proven that viruses are deliberately created to make people sick so that the companies behind them will produce vaccines to cure the same but as we speak, there’s a $2 billion race to produce a vaccine for COVID-19. It stands to reason that big pharmaceutical companies can create viruses and sell their vaccines to make a fortune.
In Africa, we are very rich in human and natural resources, yet we are known as the “dark continent” where evil reigns supreme. Many Africans are great in different fields in Europe and America. The same people would have been reduced to nothing if they were in Africa. We prefer bringing our people down to loving and supporting one another.
Basic amenities are not here. African leaders won’t build schools but will send their children to the best schools in Europe and America. They won’t build hospitals but will use state resources to treat themselves abroad. They fly in the air and refuse to build good roads for the masses. Even potable water is equal to gold in many places in Africa.
Our leaders are only good at stealing our resources and making sure that the people live in perpetual poverty. In many African countries, there is no development. Each government leaves the nation poorer than it was when it assumed office.
Al Jazeera recently did a piece titled “Africa is not poor, we are stealing its wealth”. Read it when you can. It’s an interesting piece.
COVID-19, whether man-made or natural is a product of our sin. The Bible declares that for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Then the Bible says the wage of sin is death. So Until we acknowledge that our actions, embedded in sin are what has brought about this pandemic, all efforts to take it off completely is in vain.
If we want peace in this world, we must go back to God and ask for mercy. We must purge our hearts of evil.
Our refusal to “love one another” as God commanded is our ruin. Until we go back to God and ask forgiveness, love one another, stop our wickedness, selfishness, greed, pride, shedding of blood, abortion, homosexuality, occultism, witchcraft and our total disregard of God’s commandment, the world will face worse things than COVID-19.
Truth be told, our sin is the reason for all this trouble. Let us stop all the evil we do everyday and peace will return back to us.
