The Otano lands in Adjiringanor, Adetan Municipality, in the Greater Accra Region are subject to land renegotiation, but the Awkraboye Doku Family of Atrekor-We Teshie, Accra, has urged the public to stay away from dealing with anyone who isn’t legally qualified to do so.

The family claims that as a result of a court decision in their favor, certain people have been seen going beyond what has been agreed upon by the family to issue letters to the residents of the land, which covers a total area of 748.39 acres.

The family emphasized that it has no intention of evicting or demolishing any property of people who were already residing on its land prior to the judgment. The family is informing the public through the release to avoid doing business with unauthorized individuals and to only deal with Mr. Dennis Famieh, who has the family’s power of attorney to do so.

The release dated February 10, 2023, sort to notify all persons in possession or occupation of every plot of land commonly known as the Otano lands in East Legon Accra, that within 90 days of their notice take immediate action to have their title or possession regularized; if they fail to do so, the family shall be free to reclaim without further notice.

The family also warned people against disrespecting the court decision and the family’s rights by going around with forged documents and pleas to authorities to desist from such actions and the public to be wary of such.
