Henry Quartey, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, has admitted that some NPP members have been undermining his efforts to gradually launch his “Let’s Make Accra Work” campaign.
He lamented the fact that some obscure figures in his own party had put the once-active campaign on hold.
The regional minister questioned if the saboteurs were acting in the public interest or only for their own narrow interests.
“I have a lot of issues on my chest. There is internal sabotage from my own party people. And that is what has led us to where we are. Internally, some people are sabotaging the work of Henry Quartey, whether it’s for the good of the country or their own selfish interests, I don’t know,” the Regional Minister revealed on Kokrokoo on Peace FM.
Some party members, according to Mr. Quartey, believe that if his activities are not stopped, the NPP will go into opposition.
According to Mr. Quartey, the vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo are pleased with the manner he does his duties and that claims to the contrary are false.
