The Vince Memorial Garden and Education Foundation (VMGEF) is set to host its inaugural Gala Dinner and Fundraiser on March 9, 2024, at Gyandu Place in Adringanor, East Legon. This event promises an evening of celebration, inspiration, and philanthropy, all in support of a noble cause: providing educational opportunities for young women in Ghana.

The Vince Memorial Garden and Education Foundation was established in Ghana by Jahzara Agyemang as a memorial to her son Vince, who unfortunately died there in 2022. Vince had a strong interest in education and horticulture, and his foundation is dedicated to fostering both interests by empowering young people through ecologically friendly methods and education.

The event aims to raise funds for an 18-week STEM Entrepreneur, Finance, and Personal Growth preparatory educational program tailored for SHS 3 girl students at Winneba Secondary School in the Central Region of Ghana. This comprehensive program not only covers full tuition but also provides lodging and competitive scholarships for four young women focused on STEM, granting them access to mentorship opportunities and paving their path to attend the University of Education, Winneba. Additionally, a VIP Art Exhibition and Wine Reception will be featured, with proceeds from art sales contributing to the program’s funding. Silent and live auctions will also take place, further bolstering the fundraising efforts for VMGEF.

“Your support means the world to these young ladies,” Jahzara Agyemang says, emphasizing the transformative impact that the Gala’s proceeds will have on the lives and futures of these aspiring STEM scholars. With every ticket purchase and donation, attendees directly contribute to empowering these girls with the education and opportunities they deserve.

Inside Ghana, donations can also be made through the short code *713*33*573# or via mobile money to 020 0640 740 (Vodafone Cash).

The Gala Dinner and Fundraiser will not only be a night of philanthropy but also a celebration of Vince’s enduring legacy and the remarkable potential of young women in Ghana. Attendees can anticipate an inspiring program featuring keynote speakers, performances, and presentations highlighting the importance of STEM education and the strides made by VMGEF in advancing this cause.
