Pastor Mensa Otabil, the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), has delivered a powerful message urging Christians to stand firm in their faith and reject ideas that do not align with God’s teachings. Speaking to his congregation, Pastor Otabil addressed the constant challenges Christians face in a world filled with conflicting ideologies and beliefs.

“And so when you are Christian, your mind is going to be bombarded with all kinds of ideas like this one,” Pastor Otabil began, emphasizing that Christians are often confronted with godless ideas that can be persuasive, even when presented by highly educated individuals. “The Bible says, if you’re going to really live for God, don’t conform to this world. How do you do it? You have to reject godless ideas,” he continued.

Pastor Otabil stressed that, while education is valuable, Christians must discern whether the ideas presented to them are centered on God and Christ. He firmly stated, “They may even come from superior minds, people with better education than yours, but just because they have better education, doesn’t mean they have better ideas.” According to Otabil, every idea that is not God-centered and Christ-centered is “bogus” and should be rejected.

“If it’s not God-centered, if it’s not Christ-centered, it may come from the highest academic mind, but it is bogus,” Pastor Otabil declared. He called on Christians to have the boldness to reject such ideas, reinforcing the importance of maintaining a faith that is firmly rooted in God’s truth.

His message served as a reminder for believers to stay vigilant and discerning, especially when confronted with ideas that seem appealing but are devoid of God’s principles. “You have to have the boldness to reject bogus ideas because they are godless and they are Christless,” he concluded, encouraging Christians to hold fast to their faith amidst the noise of worldly influences.
