Abeka Lapaz was thrown into chaos on Friday afternoon following a suspected armed robbery at the Raman Forex Bureau near Las Palmas. Two suspected robbers reportedly stormed the bureau and demanded cash while brandishing firearms, sending shockwaves through the busy commercial area.

Eyewitnesses outside the bureau displayed remarkable bravery by locking the exterior door, trapping the suspects and employees inside. They promptly alerted the police, leading to a swift response in an incident that highlighted both community courage and swift law enforcement action.

Police officers arrived at the scene in two waves, each consisting of about 20 personnel. With the bureau located on the ground floor of a multi-story building, law enforcement officers cordoned off the area, dispersing bystanders to ensure safety. For 20 tense minutes, the police strategized on how to disarm the suspects and bring the situation under control.

However, upon entering the forex bureau, police found only the workers inside. The suspected robbers, who were believed to have been trapped, had inexplicably vanished, leaving law enforcement officials and onlookers baffled.

CCTV footage from the forex bureau was quickly retrieved for analysis, with hopes that it would provide clues to the suspects’ sudden disappearance. The footage is expected to play a critical role in unraveling the mystery surrounding their escape.

In a statement later that day, the police confirmed an active manhunt for the suspects.
