The Marketing & Communications team of the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC) has successfully completed a two-day intensive training workshop organized by Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Held in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, the training aimed to equip participants with cutting-edge digital marketing strategies to elevate Ghana’s tourism visibility.

The sessions leveraged the full capabilities of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, covering a range of topics including audience targeting, content creation, analytics, and advertising best practices across all three platforms. By harnessing these powerful tools, participants learned how to design campaigns that drive engagement and reach both domestic and international audiences.

According to organizers, the programme was designed to help tourism professionals tell compelling stories and connect with travelers in more innovative ways.

The training comes at a critical time as the tourism sector recovers from the impacts of COVID-19 and competes in a crowded global tourism market.
