The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Sharon Dede Padi, describing her passing as a significant loss to Ghana’s tourism and creative arts sector.

The delegation was led by the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, and the Deputy Minister, Yussif Issaka Jajah, who visited the bereaved family to express the Ministry’s sympathy and solidarity during their period of mourning.

During the visit, Madam Gomashie paid glowing tribute to Sharon, describing her as a dedicated and passionate professional whose work contributed immensely to the growth of Ghana’s tourism, culture and creative arts industries.

She noted that Sharon’s professionalism, commitment and drive had left a lasting impact on the sector and said her contributions would be remembered by colleagues and industry players.

The Minister also assured the family of the Ministry’s unwavering support and pledged to join the wider tourism fraternity in giving the late Sharon a befitting farewell.

As part of the visit, the delegation also called on the management of Accra Technical University, where Vice-Chancellor Prof. Amevi Acakpovi also paid tribute to the deceased.

Prof. Acakpovi praised Sharon’s contribution to the tourism and hospitality industry, describing her legacy as one that will continue to inspire many within the profession.

He further reaffirmed the University’s commitment to supporting Sharon’s family while highlighting the institution’s growing collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts in advancing tourism education and industry development.
