Actor and football executive Yaw Dabo has announced plans to auction his iPhone 17 Pro Max for GH¢2 million, as he believes its value has shot up after being touched by influential footballers.
According to Yaw Dabo, the phone became a memorable souvenir after football personalities including John Terry, Jude Bellingham, Kobbie Mainoo, Declan Rice and Reece James took pictures with it during the recent World Cup
In his view, the ordinary iPhone 17 pro max has now become a collector’s item carrying the memories of his encounters with some of football’s biggest names.
He is therefore putting the device on the market for GH¢2 million, targeting wealthy individuals and football enthusiasts who may be interested in owning the unusual piece of memorabilia.
The actor said the auction will not be limited to buyers in Ghana, with interested individuals outside the country also allowed to participate.
He believes the phone could appeal to football fans and collectors looking for something with a personal connection to some of the sport’s biggest names.
