Kanye West, also known as Ye, is scheduled to perform two concerts in St Petersburg, Russia, in October, marking a return to the international stage after a series of cancellations and performance restrictions in Europe.
The rapper is expected to perform at Gazprom Arena on October 10 and 11, according to the venue’s Telegram channel.
The concerts come after West faced restrictions in several European countries following a series of antisemitic remarks, including comments praising Adolf Hitler and the use of Nazi imagery.
In January, West apologised for his remarks, attributing them to an undiagnosed brain injury and untreated bipolar disorder.
If the performances go ahead, West will become one of the most prominent international music stars to perform in Russia since the country launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Tickets for the two shows reportedly start at 9,000 roubles, about US$106, with the cheapest tickets selling out within an hour, according to Russia’s state news agency TASS.
Premium tickets are reportedly priced at up to 160,000 roubles, or approximately US$1,885.
Gazprom Arena, the home ground of Russian football club Zenit St Petersburg, has a capacity of about 70,000 people.
