MP for Ofoase Ayirebi and Minister of Information, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has debunked claims that the president will be announcing a total lockdown of the country following the announcement of nineteen (19) cases of a novel coronavirus in Ghana.

The president met with the COVID-19 response committee to deliberate actions going forward to combat the further spread of the virus.
Ghana has so far seen cases in Kumasi, Accra, and Tema and the government’s job is to stem the spread further and contain COVID-19 before it reaches stage 2 which according to the health authorities is local spread.
