It was a normal Tuesday on Net2 TV’s ‘The Seat’ program until the host of the program, Justice Kweku Annan, showed videos of Rev. Obofour claiming to have the power to cure AIDS. In another series of videos, the controversial prophet is seen asking one of his members to receive money in the name of his “master”. According to Justice Annan, he wanted his listeners to judge for themselves the actions of the self-styled prophet whether it was in alignment with Christian doctrine.
Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, who was a guest on the show, cautioned Obofour to be careful after watching the video. He threatened to reveal everything Obofour has told him in private if he continued his old ways.
Soon after the program, Rev. Obofour responded in live video. He asks the host of the show Justice Kweku Annan ‘why now?’. He then proceeded to greet Justice Annan more than a dozen times giving social media users and commentators the impression that he had something up his sleeves.
Apparently, Rev. Obofour has had a private encounter with Hon. Kennedy Agyapong first, and then proceeded to meet the show’s host.
However, with respect to the show host, Rev. Obofour had been accused of murder by a couple of young boys and upon explanation to Justice Kweku Annan, had engaged Justice Annan’s private company, Hawk Investigative Services, to help investigate the claims against him and clear his name. According to Justice Annan, his company did the investigative piece which later helped to clear Obofour’s name. The gentleman who accused Rev. Obofour was subsequently arrested by Police CID.
So what happened afterward?
Justice Annan alleges that Rev. Obofour paid him in installments contrary to what they both agreed on before the investigations were carried out. He says Rev. Obofour still owes him for the works he did but his stint with Rev. Obofour does not preclude him from commenting if he (Obofour) does something wrong.
This may explain Obofour’s greetings in the live video right after Hon. Kennedy Agyapong warned him on Tuesday.
