Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has reportedly fallen victim to a $60,000 credit card fraud incident involving unauthorised transactions on her account.
The incident is said to have occurred after her American Express card was compromised, leading to multiple high-value purchases being made at luxury retail outlets before the activity was detected.
Reports indicate that the fraudulent spending included transactions at major stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Apple, with attempts also made to withdraw cash from ATM points.
The unauthorised activity was quickly flagged through real-time alerts linked to her account, allowing her financial team to move swiftly to block the card and prevent further losses.
Surveillance footage from some of the affected locations is also believed to have captured individuals involved in the transactions, aiding ongoing investigations.
Cardi B has since confirmed awareness of the incident and indicated that steps are being taken to track those responsible, as authorities and financial institutions continue their probe.
