I’d love to marry more than one woman for peace of mind – Kwaisey Pee

Highlife musician Kwaisey Pee has sparked conversation around relationships and marriage after openly expressing support for polygamy.

Speaking in an interview on Neat FM, the singer said he believes having more than one wife can provide emotional balance and reduce stress in relationships.

According to him, polygamy offers a way to manage challenges that may arise in a single relationship, arguing that “if one side gives trouble, the other will give peace.”

Kwaisey Pee explained that, in his view, the arrangement could help reduce heartbreak and the emotional strain often associated with romantic relationships, suggesting that multiple partners may create a form of stability.

However, he clarified that he is not currently practicing polygamy but may consider it in the future.

His comments have since stirred public debate, with discussions centred on cultural norms, personal beliefs, and modern perspectives on marriage.

While polygamy is culturally accepted in some Ghanaian communities, it remains a contested topic, particularly in urban settings where monogamy is more widely practiced.
