A book titled “True History of Osudoku” has been launched at Osuwem the ancestral home of the Osudokus in the Shai-Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region.

The book authored by the Paramount Chief of Osudoku Traditional Area, Nene Ongmle Teye Bouatiako is to keep the indegenes informed about the true history and migration organisation of the various clans in the area.

The 175 page book launch was part of activities to celebrate this year’s Jehayem festival of the Chiefs and people of Osudoku Traditional Area.

The book contains the tribal organization, cultural heritage and boundaries of Osudoku.

It also confirmed that the Gberse clan is the true monarch of Osudoku with the rest including Klekpa, Lanor, Tsangme and Dakakusi were allies accepted by the Gberse clan to live in the area in the early stone age.

Launching the book, Nene Ongmle Teye Bouatiako acknowledged those who contributed to his research work to commit the true history book of Osudoku to memory.

“The book will also guide all the family gates to help end all Chieftancy disputes in the area”. he said.

He further admonished all the indegenes of Osudoku to bury all substantive issues and unite to help develop the area.

Nene Bouatiako noted that the area is retarding in growth due to Chieftancy disputes and disunity and urged all the divisional chiefs and Elders of the land to give him their maximum support to help unite all the clans for a common purpose.

He urged all indigenes of the place especially students to grab a copy of the book to help guide them in their studies.

He advised them to follow the customs and norms of the area to ensure peace.
