The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has asked the public to “kindly disregard any news of a reshuffle,” saying the reports circulating online are false and intended to spread misinformation.

In a press statement dated 6 June 2026 and signed by Deputy National Communication Officer Godwin Ako Gunn, the party’s National Communication Bureau said the reshuffle claims followed circulation of an alleged list of ministerial changes on social media.

“As we all strive to curb the menace of deliberate misinformation, some individuals will stop at nothing to poison the atmosphere,” the statement said.

The NDC named Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu as the official spokesperson for the administration and urged the public to verify any such information through his official channels before sharing it.

“The Cyber Security Act can have serious implications, so let us all be mindful and responsible in our communication,” it added.

The party did not provide details of the alleged online list or identify those behind it.

Ghana’s Cyber Security Act, 2020 (Act 1038) makes it an offence to publish false news likely to cause fear and panic or prejudice public safety.
