Former Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has expressed confidence in Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, describing the atmosphere within the Black Stars camp as encouraging and full of belief.

The senior national team are currently based in the United States, where they are intensifying preparations ahead of the tournament. Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Dramani praised the positive environment in camp and backed head coach Carlos Queiroz to bring structure and discipline to the team.

“The energy in the Black Stars squad for the World Cup is marvellous, and Carlos Queiroz will do his best to organise the team, stay compact defensively, and avoid conceding goals in the tournament,” he said.

The Black Stars have since moved their training base to D.C. United as they continue final preparations for the competition.

Ghana will open their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 at BMO Field, before facing England on June 23 at Gillette Stadium. Their final group match will be against Croatia on June 27.

Queiroz, who is leading the four-time African champions, will be aiming to guide Ghana beyond the group stage for the first time since 2010, after exits at the same stage in 2014 and 2022.
