Ghanaian actor and movie producer Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has pushed back against claims that his relevance in the movie industry is declining, following his recent success at the 2026 Ghana Movie Awards.

In a video shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, June 9, the award-winning actor unveiled two awards he received at the ceremony, which he was unable to attend in person.

Reacting to criticism about his standing in the industry, Lil Win said he would address his detractors at the appropriate time.

“I’ve not said anything yet, but I will speak at the right time. Those who said my time has passed, I won’t say anything now,” he said.

He questioned the basis of the claims, arguing that his latest achievements contradict suggestions that he is no longer relevant.

“I’ve received two awards and you think my time has passed?” he asked.

The Kumawood star also criticised comparisons being drawn between him and other actors, insisting that his work continues to speak for itself.

“Those yapping and comparing some people to me, adding that I’m no longer relevant, should come and see the awards I received. If I’m no longer relevant, would I be winning two awards?” he added.

Expressing confidence in his craft, Lil Win described himself as the best in the industry while thanking fans for their continued support.

“I’m the best actor and there’s nothing you can do about it. Thanks to everyone who voted for me,” he said.

His comments come amid ongoing conversations within Ghana’s film industry about relevance, competition and the evolving landscape of local cinema.
